Flourish 2025/26
Horticultural and creative workshop programme for recovery at Ninewells Community Garden, Dundee
Flourish is a horticultural and art-based activity programme that aims to support the wellbeing and recovery of people with experience of substance abuse or homelessness.
The programme is part of REALITIES (Researching Evidence-Based Alternatives in Living, Integrated, Embodied Systems), a UK-wide research project partnering universities with community assets such as University of Dundee and Ninewells Community Garden to explore how creativity, relationships and nature can help to support people in recovery.
In winter 2025 I delivered three creative workshop sessions exploring zines and collage, embroidery, and charcoal-making. In spring 2026 I returned to the programme and delivered gelli printing and watercolour sessions, as well as assisted in designing and writing an open call to find creative practitioners to deliver sessions for the next block of workshops.
